FAQs
I'm
pregnant! Can I do Pilates?
Pregnant women are the exception to the "Everyone
Can Do Pilates" rule. We follow the belief that
pregnant women should not start any new exercise
program, therefore, we will not train pregnant women who
are new to Pilates. We will only train those who
have been consistently practicing Pilates. We do
require a note of permission from your obstetrician.
Pilates is an excellent postpartum exercise. Feel
free to start as soon as you get the okay from your
doctor.
How often can I do Yoga or
Pilates?
You can do Yoga as often as your body wants
to, literally. You can do it once a month or twice
a day. The best rule of thumb is what makes your
body feel good. If you find that you are not
advancing in your practice and each time it feels like
you are starting over, you should consider doing
yoga more frequently.
I'm not very flexible, can I
still do Yoga or Pilates?
Yes, in fact, you are exactly who should be doing
Yoga! Yoga is for everyone! You just need to
know where your limits are and have patience with
yourself. Some people are naturally flexible
whereas other require daily practice.
